ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone.
Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements.
Follows up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.
Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, other key personnel).
Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.
Performs all assigned duties in the assigned territory.
Provides a territory sales forecast on a monthly basis.
Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by the VP of Sales.
Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from the VP of Sales.
Provide Technical assistance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for checking quality on each production line in their  zone at shift change and on an hourly basis.
  • Responsible for monitoring Packaging Inspectors quality checks and tally sheets, and that packaging is being done per extrusion i.e. correct pallets, etc.
  • Responsible for completing checks  cross  on other zones at least once per day.
  • Responsible for completing a mic sheet for each line once per week. (Plant Specific Requirement)

  • Responsible for completing a 1st piece check sheet for each change over.

SUMMARY
To package product neatly, perform quality checks, document product quality, and when applicable – ensure the safety of food packaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Measure product, and document findings.
  • Understand all aspects of product quality, and apply them to scheduled quality check.
  • Read and comprehend extrusion order form as it pertains to their position.
  • Maintain attendance in accordance with company policy.
  • Train other employees as needed.
  • Maintain all items needed to keep production line running pertaining to packaging, i.e. Boxes, cores, inserts.
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Make boxes.
  • Cut cores if needed.
  • Package material.
  • Perform and properly document a quality check
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Maintain good attitude and teamwork.
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper handling of food packaging, when applicable.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No prior experience or training required.

Machine Operators

Job Title:       Machine Operator- All

Reports To:    Shift Supervisor

SUMMARY
Monitor quality and zone safety.  Also set up orders on production lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for checking quality on each production line in their  zone at shift change and on an hourly basis.
  • Responsible for monitoring Packaging Inspectors quality checks and tally sheets, and that packaging is being done per extrusion i.e. correct pallets, etc.
  • Responsible for completing checks  cross  on other zones at least once per day.
  • Responsible for completing a mic sheet for each line once per week. (Plant Specific Requirement)
  • Responsible for checking blenders at shift change.
  • Responsible for completing a 1st piece check sheet for each change over.
  • Responsible for verifying all paperwork is complete and accurate ( Tally sheet, inventory locator, extrusion work orders, daily production reports, labels).
  • Responsible for promoting safety awareness throughout the plant.  Make sure all Assistant Operators and Packaging Inspectors have required PPE and are following all safety policies.
  • Responsible for reporting any defective equipment or safety hazards to Shift Supervisor.
  • Responsible for assuring all Packaging Inspectors and Assistant Operators receive appropriate amount of breaks per shift ( Delegate).
  • Responsible for maintaining work zone housekeeping throughout entire shift.
  • Responsible for cleaning and removing   printing equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for maximizing production rates while maintaining a quality product.
  • Responsible for preparing for upcoming order changes at least 2 hours in advance.
  • Responsible for assisting Maintenance Department when necessary.
  • Responsible for assisting other zones Operators when needed.
  • Responsible for promoting team work throughout the plant.
  • Responsible for assisting Utility Operators when necessary.
  • Responsible for training Assistant Operators on all aspects and functions of Machine Operator position.
  • Responsible for training Packaging Inspectors and Assistant Operators on all paperwork, equipment, safety policies, and all job duties.
  • Responsible for completing the Daily Shift Dashboard (controlled doc) once per shift.  (Plant Specific Requirement)

SUMMARY
To package product, monitor quality, rates, work zone safety, and assist operators with changeovers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for checking quality on each line at shift change and every hour thereafter and documents findings.
  • Perform evaluations requirements.
  • Read and comprehend extrusion order as it pertains to their job duties
  • Responsible for assuring a 2-hour supply of materials is maintained for orders running (i.e. boxes, cores, stackers, additives) and upcoming orders
  • Responsible for maintaining zone housekeeping throughout entire shift.
  • Responsible for promoting safety consciousness on zone.
  • Responsible for assisting Maintenance Department when necessary.
  • Responsible for learning all aspects and functions of Operators Position.
  • Responsible for assisting Operators on other zones when necessary.
  • Responsible for checking all paperwork (tally sheets, inventory locator, extrusion work orders) to verify that paperwork is filled out completely and correctly.
  • Responsible for communicating with incoming Assistant Operators about problems, additives, special orders, etc.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance record and report to work on time when scheduled.
  • Responsible for complying with all policies and procedures as communicated in Employee handbook and Safety Manual.
  • Adhere to Product Safety Program (AIB)
  • Other duties may be assigned
